Organizing your item is a basic necessity for your hero. In early game phase, leveling up should be synchronize by accumulating items for your farming needs. Focus on early damage boost to accurately gain gold through last hit of creeps. Every creeps that you missed will compensate your time on building your items.

Farm like a Beast
Fast farming is a must for a marksman. Since marksman are item dependent, it is practical to give them a boost for gold. In this method, they can complete their item build with just a matter of minutes. Unfortunately, one way to feed a marksman is to hunt down jungle monsters with buffs. But, together with a tank or a fighter, giving the buff to a marksman can change the phase of the game to your advantage. Never forget that there are three phases which includes early game, mid, and late game. Also practice “last hitting” creeps.
Search for a Potential Kill
There are many ways a marksman could farm. One, focus on lane creeps and jungle monsters. And lastly, to search for a potential kill and engage in a clash to gain some assist score. Staying in one lane is enough though ganks and ambush cannot be avoided mostly when an opponent team is ready to engage. It is advisable to stay safe for preventing delay in accumulating gold.
Be Aware of the Map
It is hard for a marksman to survive when ambushed. In this situation, an assist is badly needed. Look for help or inform your team mates if ever a single opponent is not visible on the map. The chance to loose is substantial even if your opponent eliminate someone in your team. Thus, even on assists, enemies can still gather gold that will make them ahead of you.
Get in Proper Position
Map familiarity is also essential most especially during clashes. Pointing your marksman on a correct position will give you an advantage towards the opponent; take note, you are bound to hit freely. It would be great if your tank and support focus on the marksman first before helping other tough allies.

Spells like flicker and arrival are the best spells during early game, but sometimes if your opponent has a lot of disables on their heroes, purify is also advisable. Don’t worry about other support spells. You can even ask your team mates to equip those. What more important is the survival of a marksman.
There are things that a marksman should avoid. Though marksman are natural nukers physically, their disadvantage can often be covered by team mates such as supports, and tanks. The only one thing that you should look forward to is how you can sustain a hero which is the priority target to all.
